Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Cancellation, refunds, and what happens to your data when you cancel.

Yes — cancel any time. No commitments, no cancellation fees, no questions asked.

How to cancel

  1. Sign in to the dashboard at tracelogicpro.co.uk/dashboard
  2. Open Organisation Settings → Billing
  3. Click Manage Subscription — this opens the Stripe customer portal
  4. Choose Cancel Plan

Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account moves back to the Free tier — you keep your mobile app access and local data, but lose dashboard features.

What happens to my data?

  • Mobile app data — stays on your device forever
  • Cloud-synced project data — preserved for 90 days after cancellation in case you want to come back
  • PDF reports — already generated, yours to keep
  • Team accounts (Company tier) — engineers lose access when seats lapse, but their local app continues working

If you don't return within 90 days, we permanently delete cloud project data and bill receipts (per GDPR). Your account record itself is kept indefinitely so you can sign back in.

Refunds

We don't offer pro-rata refunds on the unused portion of a billing period — you keep service through the end of the period instead.

Exceptions where we do refund:

  • First-week refund — if you sign up to Pro/Company and decide it's not for you within 7 days, email us and we'll refund in full
  • Service outage — if TraceLogic had a serious outage during your billing period that materially affected your work, get in touch

Downgrading instead of cancelling

If you want to keep the dashboard but reduce seat count (Company tier), use Deactivate Engineer in Seat Management. Two options:

  • Swap out — engineer keeps their seat-bound license that you can re-assign to someone else without changing your bill
  • Downsize — engineer's seat is removed and your Stripe quantity reduces by one (minimum 2 seats applies)

I changed my mind after cancelling

Sign in within 90 days and click Reactivate in the customer portal. Everything comes back exactly as it was.
